EDI for Small Business:

After failed attempts to employ information technology effectively with small dealers that sell and service the industry’s products, the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute engaged ECS to assist in the application of EDI standards and to manage an industry E-Commerce program. This has led to the only known deployment of standards based EDI between small and medium enterprises in the U.S. The industry is now beginning the upgrade of its standards to employ full web enabled technologies.

Insurance Claims:

When the insurance industry started demanding electronic claim filing in automotive collision repair, the repair community was faced with multiple proprietary solutions aimed at to meeting the needs of the insurers. This led to the employment of ECS for recommendation of a solution. The formation of the Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA) resulted, and for several years it has been establishing industry standards, and leading implementations of EDI and XML standards. It has become the focal point for all E-Commerce technology deployment within the collision industry.

Software Trial:

After going to court to recover from a failed software purchase, American Trim hired ECS to provide expert testimony in its suit against Oracle. The issue related to EDI software, its function and a lack of internal integration promised during the sale. These technical issues had to be concisely explained to the jury in basic laymen’s terms. American Trim prevailed in the case with a jury award of $3 million in restitution, and $10 million in punitive damages.

Product Distribution EDI:

When Epson America was interested in the effective use of EDI to control costs of distribution of Epson products within North America, they employed Roger Cadaret to assist with an EDI strategic plan. This organization led the development of industry standards usage and implementation of standard EDI long before the government mandate known as HIPAA became reality.

E-Commerce Training:

ECS staff have developed and conducted seminars and training classes for many industries and applications including, but not limited to the following; Automotive ERP application, collision repair e-commerce, E-Commerce for sales and service, EDI World series of EDI & Bar Code seminars, AIAG Basic and Advanced EDI training, The Internet for Small Business seminars, and Healthcare Applications for EDI and Bar Coding.
